Surprisingly flat and two-dimensional characters. The plot concerns the life of two sisters after the death of their brother, 15 years earlier. But for the women in their late 30s, they seemed immature, petty, flippant, angry and clueless. I had a hard time from the very beginning of the book trying to decide if I wanted to finish it. I've read several books by Emily Giffin and she always tries to come to a subject from multiple perspectives so I kept with it to the end. This book - about marriage and children - didn't work because the problems of the women seemed both exaggerated and frivolous. In the end I just didn't buy into the characters. A disappointing read.
